cutie pie

Google Chart API Pie is great since it is very simple and fast to use. No XML file is needed to create a chart. But it has a missing option that the visualisation of experts do need. Linking the authors for getting a fast navigation to the authors site. Solving this missing part i have tried several free chart (SWF) and have found a simple one, that offers linking. Open-Flash-Chart is an open source charting framework that you’ll able to include easily.

download and install

  • get open-flash-chart.zip and extract contents to the yourwikipath/extensions/open-flash-chart/ folder
  • get getExpertChart.php an place it to yourwikipath/extensions/open-flash-chart/ too
  • get open-flash-chart.swf and place it in to yourwikipath/images/open-flash-chart/ folder. Be sure this folder is writeable
  • add require_once("extensions/open-flash-chart/getExpertChart.php"); to LocalSettings.php

usage

Place a <get-experts/> tag on any site you want to get user contributions.
