WikiViz Link Visualization inside a MediaWiki

WikiViz is a MediaWiki-extension to visualize semantic MediaWiki-content, developed by Urs Richle. The links between articles, categories, images, authors and urls are represented in different colors by a dynamic conceptual-map.

I have tried the extension on MediaWiki 1.6
After installation, i have got an error message.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in wikiIP/extensions/WikiViz/includes/Extractor.php on line 245

the reason is unknown, so far. Mail response is pending.
